What is endodontic treatment?
Inside every tooth is a soft tissue called the pulp, which contains nerves, blood vessels, and connective tissue. When this tissue becomes inflamed or infected, it can cause significant pain and may lead to an abscess or damage surrounding structures.
Endodontic treatment removes the damaged pulp, cleans and disinfects the inside of the tooth, and seals the root canals to prevent future infection — allowing you to keep your natural tooth.
Why might you need a root canal?
Common reasons include:
Deep cavities or extensive tooth decay
Cracks or fractures caused by trauma
Damage from repeated dental procedures on the same tooth
Infection or inflammation of the tooth’s inner tissue
Symptoms may include tooth sensitivity, persistent pain, discomfort when biting, swelling, or an abscess. However, some infected teeth may not cause noticeable symptoms, which is why regular dental examinations are important.

Dr. Sabi is a general dentist from Hungary with a special interest in implant dentistry, aesthetic dentistry, smile design, and advanced restorative treatments.
Having lived on the Costa del Sol for more than 15 years, he has gained extensive experience working with an international patient base. He also spent several years working alongside a Danish dentist, developing a strong foundation in modern Scandinavian dental care and patient-focused treatment.
For Dr. Sabi, dentistry is about more than treating teeth—it is about helping people feel comfortable, confident, and well cared for. Creating a calm and welcoming environment where patients feel heard and understood is a cornerstone of his approach.
His passion for art, aesthetics, and natural beauty inspired his interest in digital smile design, allowing him to create harmonious, natural-looking smiles that complement each patient’s facial features and personality.
Dr. Sabi has extensive experience in endodontic treatment and root canal therapy, helping patients preserve their natural teeth while restoring long-term health, function, and aesthetics.
He speaks English and Spanish fluently, in addition to his native Hungarian, ensuring clear and comfortable communication with patients from a wide range of backgrounds.
